What are the rules for working? Freelance Law

It should be noted that freelancers are freelance specialists who work independently and perform work outside the company's staff. They are able to work for different clients simultaneously on a temporary basis and independently find projects to complete.

In Ukrainian labor legislation, the term "freelance" or "freelancer" is not defined separately. The new bill adopted by the Verkhovna Rada also does not introduce this concept into the labor legislation of Ukraine. Instead, this bill creates a new type of employment contract that takes into account the specifics of work on temporary and flexible terms, such as is usually used by freelancers.

Now the Labor Code contains an article on an employment contract with non-fixed working hours. It is necessary to understand the principles of freelancers' work at the legislative level:

A contract with a flexible work schedule includes provisions regarding the manner and time when it is necessary to report the start of task execution. This period designated for work is referred to as core working days and hours.
